To provide a way for bands to gain access to Southwest Ohio if they’ve never been here before by either setting up shows, or pointing them in the right direction.

About:
The Lonely House isn’t just a place, it’s an idea. We want to see a vital, thriving local music scene.

What we do is simple: As fans of music, and avid supporters of our local music scene, we want to make the area more accessible to bands and more artist friendly by setting up shows, hosting bands, and helping them out in any way that we can.

Already, we’ve seen some great progress in the area. We’ve set up and held shows with touring acts making their way through Southwest Ohio for the first time. We’ve made friends with some of the most sincere, talented bands in several different scenes right now. We’ve hosted almost a dozen bands at The Lonely House, giving them a comfortable, safe place to sleep and hang out. And we ask nothing in return – only that the bands enjoy themselves, and that if they do, they let others know.

We’re not just interested in seeing our local scene in Cincinnati thrive. It is our hope to be able to help build and support a network of bands and venues in order to help facilitate communication between some of the other major (and minor) metropolitan areas of Southwest Ohio, Southeast Indiana, and Northern Kentucky. And from there, who knows?

The Lonely House isn’t just a place, it’s an idea. We want to see a vital, thriving music scene. We don’t differentiate between genres. We don’t want to see one scene or the other growing. Punk, Indie, Hip-Hop, Rock, Metal, Hardcore. It doesn’t matter. It’s all music, and we would like to help whoever we can. No posturing, no self-service. If you’re making sincere music, if you’re passionate about what you’re doing, and what others are doing, then we’re going to be great friends. And that’s what music is all about, right?
